Out of the Clear Blue Jay

Back to the salt mines, where I occupy a position of insignificance especially compared to the upwelling of grief surrounding a West Virginia coal mining accident and the frivolous seriousness of Miss Sheridan’s lawsuit regarding her role in Desperate Housewives. Not certain I want to get into either of these things, so my report today is that I found an empty reel of clear blue fishing line – the plump fish graphic was impressive – and a blue jay flew to a top branch of a tree and in this setting was like a sapphire on a ring. I regret the cat ate the canary that might have saved the miners and spared their families. If Wisteria Lane were to wither on the vine, nothing would be missed.
