Gleeting Flimpse


   Quick as a sneeze, I catch a fleeting glimpse of a heron as it flies over the creek, on its way downstream. A tilt of its wings, a blancing glow to my peripheral vision. We catch fleeting glimpses all the time and edit them. We experience, collect, edit and ignore as insignificant.

   One person who gives good advice says “Everything you do matters.” Another person says “Nonsense.”  Who needs that extra step? Every breath you take has a sting. What possible difference could it make? I wonder how things in the Gulf are progressing. What the world needs now…
